Interior and Exterior Uses
Door-Aid makes interior areas like bathrooms and doorways accessible – even when clearances don’t comply with ADA requirements.
When an outside door closer is adjusted properly to close a door pushing against internal air pressure, the force a physically disabled person must exert typically exceeds ADA door-pull requirements. Door-Aid solves this problem.
Since the actuator arm is not connected to the door, there is no wear and tear on the Door-Aid when the door is opened manually. Door-Aid receives up to 90% less wear than comparable systems.
Quick and easy installation:
Door-Aid’s simple doorframe installation doesn’t require that anything be attached directly to the door. Normal installation time is less than two hours.
Adjustable, maintenance-free motor:
Door-Aid uses a high-torque, electronically controlled DC motor and features quiet cycling with force, speed, and timing set during installation.
Door-Aid offers mounting hardware for offset hinge, center pivot, and other types of hinge-style doors to ensure installation in virtually any situation. Door-Aid can be mounted on the left or right side of the doorframe, regardless of which way the doors opens. Door-Aid can be installed to push or pull a door open. The Door-Aid controller can be used to activate more than one door simultaneously.
Wireless, remote-controlled push-pads simplify and reduce costs associated with installation by eliminating the need for wiring.
Safety:Door-Aid meets ANSI code #156.19 for low-energy door openers and meets ADA requirements. The door remains totally operational in the event of a power outage.
Economical and heavy-duty design:Door-Aid units are commercial-grade and are at prices usually associated with light-duty, less-flexible products.
Compatible with security:Door-Aid will work with sensors, electric lock strikes, magnetic locks, and other access devices.
Dependable, industrial-grade components:
Door-Aid carries a one-year warranty on the gear motor, electronics, chassis, and peripherals. Check the manual or write to us for a full statement of warranty.
